Yes, we do! We have gorgeous oak cross backed chairs and wooden pews in our hall, white conference chairs in our chapel, and white plastic chairs for outdoors. If you require a different style chair in a different area they can be moved for a small labor fee.
We have a range of other items to hire as well, from place mats to votives to plinths and flower urns. If you can't find what you like within our selection, we work closely with Perfect Settings and Something Borrowed Something New and can organise alternative décor for you.
If booking the Peony or Rose wedding package, you are welcome to set up in the time allotted on a day agreed before your wedding so that you and your bridal party can set up, rehearse and then relax and prepare for the big day. On the wedding day, come downstairs to the Manor lounge to enjoy a delicious continental and cooked breakfast with tea, coffee or juice. Then your hair and makeup team can arrive and there are plenty of beautiful spaces for getting ready and once your photographer arrives they can start taking gorgeous pre-wedding photos.
The Peony package includes the honeymoon suite so the Bride will have access to that room on the wedding day to set up for the wedding night. You can use this beautiful room for photos on the day as well. Once ready you just take your walk as the bride into the garden or chapel for your ceremony. The groom can meet your guests in the courtyard and the celebrant will let your guests know when it is time to be seated.
Once your ceremony is over, all your guests can mingle in our courtyard or chapel lounge and be served drinks and nibbles from the corner outdoor bar by your bar staff, and after photos with family and friends the Bridal party can head away for photos. If you have booked a canape box with the caterer this can be collected from the kitchen by one of the bridal party.
For stunning photos, the beach is just a couple of minutes drive from the manor. There are also many options of flower fields, rustic barns and sprawling countryside. Some even make the trip to Tekapo which is only an hour and 15 minutes away. We do, however, recommended this for a first look/pre-ceremony photo location as not to cause timing stress.
Once its time for the reception, your guests can head in to our striking Brick Barn with its lovely high beams, barn doors and chandeliers.
Your caterer can supply food and alcohol and we include the use of our wine glasses and coffee and tea facilities in the price. If having more than 80 guests, we can help to clear away a couple tables to create a dance floor and guests can gather and watch as the newlyweds take their first dance.
The rest of the night is yours to dance under our fun disco ball with bar service inside continuing until last drinks around 10.45pm. The newly weds can then head up to their suite or on their honeymoon and Timaru is ideally located only an hour or two to several beautiful destinations and an airport just 25 minutes away.
Kingsdown staff will take care of the clean up, all you have to do is make sure you take all your personal belongings.
